Saw(yier) Horse pays homage to Kentucky
landscape artist Paul Sawyier. Sawyier completed more than 3,000 works of
art during a 30-year career, and was famed for his watercolors. Marianna McDonald
has created a collage of Sawyier images on the horse, incorporating Sawyier’s
impressionistic style and unique color palette. McDonald, who works in pastels,
has participated in many group and solo shows throughout Lexington and the
US.
