New Zealander Peter Williams is a self-proclaimed
"frantic impressionist," preferring to work from life. Originally a sheep
and cattle rancher, his painting success in New Zealand and Australia led
to an invitation to paint and exhibit in the United States. He has been resident
artist for nearly thirty years at Churchill Downs, Keeneland, Del Mar, Saratoga
and Monmouth Park. He also paints florals, marine subjects, architecture,
figure studies and vintage automobiles.
