After moving to Newmarket, England, artist
Paula Wilson began painting bold, bright acrylic paintings based on racing
silks from Newmarket. She has translated these designs and intense, happy
colors onto Me and My Gal. Wilson has lectured and taught art at
the university level. She has worked in a variety of art forms, including
textiles and ceramics. Me and My Gal was completed with the assistance
of Wilson’s daughter Amy, who is pursuing an art degree.
