This horse – alluding to the famous stallion
Man of War – is covered in sculpted and painted orchids. Nancy C.E. Nardiello,
the horse’s creator, is a native of Mount Sterling and a current resident
of Lexington. A member of Artists Attic, she has participated in a number
of public art projects, including LexArts’ Horse Mania (2000) and
Dynamic Doors (2004) public art projects.
