LewHorse Carroll was inspired by John Tenniel’s pen and ink illustrations for Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. Kratzer has used Sharpies to draw renderings of several of Tiennel’s iconic scenes and characters. The two sides allude to the whimsy and unexpected asymmetries that recur throughout these two Lewis Caroll literary works. Kratzer, who has a law degree from Cornell, is a self-taught painter, line-drawing artist and muralist, who began his artistic endeavors at age 40.
