Henry pays tribute to Lexington artist
Henry Faulkner. Internationally renowned, Faulkner cut a colorful figure in
Lexington, known to some as an eccentric rebel. Born in Egypt, Kentucky, he
led a bohemian lifestyle in Lexington, New York, Los Angeles, Key West and
Sicily – all locations portrayed in his colorful oil paintings. Artist Mary
Wathen has been involved in many public art projects, including Horse Mania
2000, the Lexington Philharmonic Orchestra’s Horsetails and the 2010 Exhibit
for the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games. Her work appears in a growing
number of private collections in the US and Europe.
